Cassandra Marie Grolley, age 27 of Wilton, NY, left us unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 22, 2017.
She was born in Saratoga Springs on December 13, 1989 to Timothy Grolley (Pinellas Park, Florida) and Sheila Baumgartner (Wilton, NY).
As a child, Cassandra was shy but devoted to those closest to her. Growing up primarily in Schuylerville and Ballston Spa, she loved family trips to Maine and was involved in softball and cheerleading. As she grew up, Cassandra was the family cheerleader in many ways; when family tragedy struck, she would help lead the charge and keep everyone busy and smiling. She grew up as a NY Giants fan, but grew to love the Seattle Seahawks, the music of The Beatles, and more than all else, her incredible son, Lucas, who was her light in a sometimes dark world. She will be remembered for her smile, her laughter, and for her unbelievably quick wit. No one could top a "boog-joke" and her one-liners will live on with those she loved forever.
She leaves behind a large immediate and extended family and friends that she loved a great deal and would defend until the end. She is survived by her 8 year old son, Lucas, who will miss her unendingly, her parents; Sheila Baumgartner (Peter Charbonneau) and Timothy Grolley (Melissa), step-father; Andrew Strainer, grand-parents; Jerry Grolley (April), Dianne Grolley, Nancy Fitzgerald, sisters; Alicia Grolley Brisbin (Paul) and Brianne Grolley, brother; Nicholas Strainer, aunt; Tina Grolley, uncles; Frank Perkins and John Baumgartner, cousin; Gabriella Martinovich and many great aunts, great uncles, and second cousins.
Friends and family may call from 4pm to 7pm, Saturday, July 29th, at Flynn Bros. Funeral Home - 13 Gates Ave Schuylerville, NY 12871.
Donations in her memory can be made in the name of her son, Lucas Morrill, and sent to Adirondack Trust Company - 473 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
