Obituary of Lucy R. Ellis

Lucy R. Ellis, 93, a resident of Larmon Rd., passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Born August 28, 1921 in Grangerville, NY she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Augusta Trumbull Larmon. Lucy had a strong Christian Faith and a kind heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked gardening, crafting, trips to Florida, and taking walks. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Ellis Sr., brothers, Franklin, Bill, and Shell Larmon; sisters, Esther Sanders, Hannah and Dorothy Larmon; her son, Joseph Ellis and son-in-law, David McFee Sr. Survivors include 3 sons, Jay Ellis of Greenwich, Jim (Roxanne) Ellis of Salem, and Jerry (Cathy) Ellis of Salem; 4 daughters, Dorothy McFee of Greenwich, Patricia (Edward) Sullivan of Cinnaminson, NJ, Pamela Ellis (Kathy Myer) of Greenwich, and Louise (David) Fiaschetti of Clifton Park; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with Rev. Flossie Bates, officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Thursday from 12-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in her memory to the Fort Hudson Foundation, 319 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. A special thank you to Fort Hudson Home Care and caregivers that provided loving care to Mom.
