Obituary of Jeffrey H. Dewey

Jeffrey Hugh Dewey, 48, passed away on December 10th, 2014 at Albany Medical Center.

Born May 6, 1966 in Cambridge New York, Jeff was the son of Barbara (Joe) Newman of Saratoga Springs, NY and Hugh (Marie) Dewey of Greenwich NY.

His greatest loves were his daughters and grandchildren. He worked construction for many years and enjoyed volunteering at the Knights of Columbus Kitchen as a cook for their weekly BINGO. He also loved NASCAR, Wrestling and cooking. Jeff never met a stranger. He was fast to share a smile or lend a shoulder for you to lean on. We have been truly blessed for every moment with him.

He is survived by three daughters, Tonie (Scott) Martinez of Argyle, NY, Melynda (Greg) Santabar of Greenfield, NY, and Tiffany Dewey (James Barber) of Ballston Spa, NY; two sisters, Cyndi (Steve) McKuhen of Crawfordville, FL and Bonnie Jo Dewey (Scott Santabar) of Victory Mills, NY; two stepsister's, Tina (Peter) Perkins and Danielle Darrow, and a stepbrother, Daniel (Kate) Langois; 10 grandchilden, 1 niece, and 2 nephews.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Barbara Pechtel of Greenwich, NY, paternal grandparents, James and Flora Dewey of Greenwich, NY, and Stepsister, Sharon Perkins of Salem, NY.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Albany Medical Center, Heart Research Program.

Services will be held at 4pm Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with Pastor Deb Earthrowl officiating. Calling hours will be from 2-4 pm prior to the service.

Family and friends will gather following the service to celebrate Jeff's life at the VFW in Greenwich.
