Obituary of Ronald W. Schermerhorn

Ronald W. Schermerhorn, 71, a former resident of Greenwich, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Cambridge Place in Lexington, Kentucky. Born September 29, 1943 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Doris Stimpson Schermerhorn of Greenwich, NY. He was a graduate of Greenwich Central School and moved to Kentucky in 1973 for the warmer climate. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Gary Schermerhorn of Plattsburgh, NY. Survivors include his sister, Kathy Schermerhorn of Greenwich; and his brother Lynn Schermerhorn of Oceanside, CA. A graveside service will be held at 1:30pm Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the Greenwich Cemetery. **To Elise LeClaire Townsend-- No one else from Ronnie's hometown showed the caring, thoughtfulness and kindness as you did during his illness all this year. You are the most generous person I know. Everyone should have a caring friend like you. You have been my best friend ever. Thank you so very, very much. Ronnie and I both love you.
