Obituary of Walter L. Peters

Walter L. Peters, 84, a resident of Middle Falls and Easton, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born August, 16, 1930 in Easton, NY he was the son of the late Lester and Grace Peters Walter graduated from Greenwich High School in 1946. He was employed at Allegheny Steel before enlisting in the Army in 1950. After serving in the Korean War, Walter returned to Allegheny Steel where he retired after 30 years of employment in 1983. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by son Walter (Bug) Peters. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Helen Peters of Greenwich; 1 son Gary (Marilyn) Peters of Greenwich ; 2 grandsons Nicholas Peters of Greenwich; Michael Crozier of Greenwich; and 1 granddaughter Erika Rasmussen of Greenwich. A graveside service will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday, January, 21, 2015 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
