Obituary of Carol Ann Hayes

Carol Ann Hayes, 49, a resident of Mahaffy Rd., passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home. Born July 29, 1965 in Cambridge, NY she was the daughter of Mildred Sisson Hayes of Greenwich and the late William J. Hayes. Carol was a loving, kind, and caring daughter, sister, and aunt. She was totally devoted to being with her Mom, watching TV, birdwatching, and spending time with her cat Princess. She enjoyed listening to country music. She was a past member of the Cossayuna Fire Department Auxiliary. In addition to her mother, Mildred C. Hayes, survivors include her sister, Nancy (Christopher) West of Salem; 2 nieces, Katelyn Loveland of Salem and Amanda (Travis) Murray of Bennington, VT; 2 nephews, Joshua (Tiffany) Wilson of Salem and Ryan West of Salem; 1 uncle, Willie Hayes of West Glens Falls; several cousins, including special cousins, David, Virginia, Arlene, and Daniel; as well as several great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl, officiating. Spring burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 10-11am prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in her memory to the Easton Greenwich Rescue Squad, the Cossayuna Fire Dept., or the family to help pay funeral expenses.
