Obituary of Calvin C. Rosevear

Calvin C. Rosevear, 65, of Ingersoll Rd., passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on May 26, 2015 at the Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Cal was born in Modesto, Ca. on Feb. 20, 1950. He graduated from New England Aeronautical Institute in 1970. He then served in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1976 as a Staff Sgt. Upon an Honorable Discharge from the service he started a long career as a field engineer for Large Format Printers, which allowed him to travel the world. On April 11, 1981 he married his soulmate Margaret Phillips and became the loving father of 3 children. He was loved by all who met him and was always welcoming others to the residence for his epic BBQ'S. He loved to cook, fish and hunt but most of all a great conversation about the New York Yankees. Cal was predeceased by his mother, Pauline Cloud, father Autry Bumgardner, stepfather Leo Rosevear, half- brother Carl Bumgardner, mother-in-law and father-in-law Sara and Martin Phillips, and brother-in-law Michael Phillips Survivors are his wife of 34 years, Peg Rosevear; his children, Alyssa (Eddie) Sears, Casey (Nicole) Rosevear, and Rebecca (David) Blommel; and grandsons, Jacob Sears, and Hunter Blommel; brothers, Charles and Art Bumgardner; sisters, Alice (William) Beavers, Geneva "Ruthie" Williams, Mary Rosevear, Lillian (Stephen) Gage, Minnie Green, and Billie Louise Tapley; brother-in-law, James (Carol) Phillips;. Also several nieces and nephews including James J. Phillips II. Sara Jane Phillips, Colleen Phillips, Christopher (Kathy) Phillips and their children Nicholas and Nicole Phillips Friends may call from 12-2 pm Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville,NY. Interment services will be held at 11am Tuesday June 2, 2015 at the Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville with the Rev. Virginia Cornell officiating. Cal will be greatly missed and loved forever. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donation's in Cal's memory be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
