Obituary of Constance E. Streit

BACON HILL- Constance E. (Flick) Streit, 61, passed away at home on June 7th, 2010 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to William and Virginia Flick, Nov. 18, 1948 in Ithaca, NY. Connie graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1966 and received a BA in Elementary Education from SUNY Potsdam in 1970. She obtained her Masters Degree from SUNY Albany. Connie began teaching at Division Street School in Saratoga Springs in 1970 and retired in 2006. Connie married Stephen Streit September 3, 1987. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her many horses over the years. She will be missed by her friends and family and remembered for her gentle spirit and warm smile, commanding “teacher voice”, commitment to recycling, and her outstanding coffee cake. She was survived by her husband, Stephen Streit; her son, Todd Stunzi; her stepdaughter Tiffany Streit; her parents William & Virginia Flick; her sister Carol Ackerman; and her brother Craig Flick. A memorial service will be held Thursday June 17, 2010 at 4 pm at the Bacon Hill Reformed Church, Route 32 in Bacon Hill.
