Obituary of Thomas R. Jennings

Tom passed away Sunday July 26, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness. Born June 16, 1956 at Shirley U.S. Army Hospital in Shirley MA, he was the son of the late George D. "Sarge" Jennings and Shirley Dewey and the late Mary and Pete Davis. He was a graduate of Greenwich Central School and a resident of Hebron. Survivors include his loving wife and companion of 38 years Barbara Leyden of Hebron; a sister, Beth (Ken) Charron of Greenwich, nephews Jesse (Jessi) and Tyler (Shelby) Lamb and niece Chelsea Charron all of Greenwich, grandniece Ava Reese Lamb; sister MaryBeth (Leo) Flynn, brother Rae (Leitha) Davis Jr. and their children Jake (Tabitha) Davis-Barron, Lindsey (Alex) Sawtelle, Chris (Tish) and Jason Flynn, Brian (Stephanie) Davis, Kaitlin (Freddie) Wolff, and Jon Davis; in-laws George and Jean Leyden and their 3 daughters Martha Iacolucci, Ellen Tarrant and Nancy Kay and their families; cousins Jay, John and Donna Jennings, Nancy (Rick Williams, Kate (Jamie) Lewis, and Billy Jennings and their families and his like-a-brother Wes (Chris) Kapper. He also leaves behind his devoted companion Jackson. Tom enjoyed his time spent jamming with "the band" whenever they got together, fishing and playing pool and shuffleboard with his good friend, the late Bob Moore. He also enjoyed handicapping the horses. At Tom's request, there will be no calling hours or service. He will be cremated and, being the avid fisherman, his ashes will be laid to rest on his beloved Battenkill River. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit of Glens Falls Hospital for the outstanding care that Tom received during his stay.
