Obituary of Kathleen Olson

Kathleen Olson, 47, succumbed to a long illness Friday, June 11, 2010 at Saratoga Hospital following a valiant struggle to live. Born August 27, 1962 in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Jeannette Jacob Murphy. Kathleen was well known in the community of Schuylerville where she had resided for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and her cats, Baby and Patches. Survivors include her husband, Francis J. Rushia of Victory Mills; 2 daughters, Kristianna and Colleen Olson of Schuylerville; 7 grandchildren, Messiah, DeVonna, Jahlon, Destiny, William, Justina, and Jessica; 2 sisters, Christine Murphy of Albany and Teresa (Johnny Griffin) Matuszyk of Schenectady; and 1 nephew, Jonathan Matuszyk. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday, June 18, 2010 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with Rev. Virginia Cornell, officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
