Obituary of Iris Biss

Iris Scott Biss, 86, of Gansevoort, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 15, 2016. For the last three years she lived with her daughter in Rock City Falls. Born August 16, 1929 in Easton, she was the daughter of George and Gladys (Williams) Scott. Her greatest joys came from taking care of her family and spending time with her Great Grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a "Gram" to many. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Stephen (Chip) Biss. Survivors include her son, Stephen S. Biss of Fonda; her daughter, Marjorie B. Shaver (Mike Szot) of Rock City Falls; her grandson, Robert M. Shaver of NYC, and granddaughter, Stephanie Hines and husband, Kevin, of Baldwinsville NY; niece Vicki Dillon of Menands; great grandchildren, Ryan Hines, Cayden Hines, and Samantha Shaver. She will be laid to rest at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. There will be no calling hours. The family would like to thank Dr. Flanagan and her nurse Pat, Dr. Mastrianni, and Hospice for the wonderful care provided to her.
