Obituary of Roy J. Hurley

Roy J. Hurley, 65, a resident of Kilburn Rd, Cossayuna passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born June 12, 1951 in Manhattan, NY he was the son of the late James and Margaret Hurley. Roy grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, he loved to fly planes in his younger years and loved music. He was a member of various bands throughout his life and was very eclectic, artistic and loved to laugh. Roy loved living in Washington county he loved his 5 daughters especially his soulmate Karen for over 42 years. He loved his pets and saw the positive in everything but most importantly was being kind to all. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother William Hurley. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years Karen Krikorian Hurley; daughters Karen V. (Rob Keller) Hurley of Boca Raton, FL, Annie M. (Jason) Barone of Ballston Spa, Patricia E. (Sean) Wanser of Ballston Spa, Debra J. (Jeff Thomas) Hurley of Ballston Spa and Michelle F. Hurley of West Palm Beach, FL; brother James (Elaine) Hurley; sister Margaret (Frank) Hughes; 8 grandchildren William, Ava, Edward, Gus, Mari, Levi, Shaela and Kilynn; best friend for over 60 years Jorge Diaz. A mass of a Christian burial will be held Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 11:30am at St. Joseph’s Church, 36 Bleecker St, Greenwich, NY, 12834 with the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating.
