Obituary of Edgar J. Graham Jr.

Edgar J. Graham Jr., 88, a resident of Baker Drive, Gansevoort and formerly of Colonie, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital. Born October 9, 1928 in Albany, NY he was the son of the late Edgar J. and Martha Carr Graham Sr. Mr. Graham was a US Army Veteran having served during WWII. He retired from the Albany Post Office. He was a dedicated father to his children and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Morand Graham and 1 son, Edgar J. Graham III. Survivors include his daughter with whom he resided, Lorraine (David) Steele of Gansevoort; his son, Robert (late June) Graham Sr. of Colonie; and grandchildren, Derek (Kylie)Anson, Melissa Anson, Robert Graham Jr., Carolyn Steele and Jennifer Steele. A funeral service will be held at 10am Monday, December 5, 2016 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow at 11am at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-4pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the Saratoga Hospital Emergency Department and A-3 staff for the care given to Mr. Graham.
