Obituary of Marie R. Winney

Marie R. Winney, 93, of Saratoga Springs, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home in Clifton Park. Born March 11, 1923 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Jules Reulet and Helen Mrkva Reulet also from Saratoga Springs. Marie resided near her sister Elaine (Joseph) Macica and her brother Joseph (Veronica) Reulet for almost all her life. She retired from the Wilton Developmental Center and was also a waitress at Mangino's restaurant for many years. She loved to travel after retirement, and especially enjoyed Hawaii and Bethlehem, Isreal. Marie enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her family during holiday gatherings, and was well known for her polished appearance and witty behavior. In addition to her siblings, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at 11am Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Clements Church, 233 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery, Saratoga Springs. Calling hours will be held from 10-11am Monday at the church, prior to the mass. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871.
