Obituary of William D. Keller

William D. Keller, 83, a resident of Montague, MA passed away peacefully Friday, March 31, 2017 at his daughter’s home. He was born May 22, 1933 in Kingston, NY to the late Evelyn Lord Freligh and was raised by his late parents Margret and Virgil Keller. William loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Salem, NY. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy stationed on the USS Yosemite Naval Destroyer from 1953 to 1957. William previously worked as an Inspector for the Watervliet Arsenal in Watervliet and he enjoyed spending time at various VFW’s throughout the years. William loved all animals especially cats. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Roslyn Keller and daughter Karen Keller. He is survived by his daughter, Penny (Mark) Bernier of Montague, MA; sisters Betty Legg and Florence Freligh of Saugerties, NY; brothers John Freligh of Saugerties, NY and Gordon Freligh of NC; grandchildren Nicole, Stacy, Kristina and Holly; 7 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home 13 Gates Ave Ext. Schuylerville, NY, 12871 with the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Family and friends may call from 12-1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will immediately follow the service at 2 pm at the Gerald B.H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY, 12871.
