Obituary of Mary L. Kirk

Mary L. Kirk, 84 a resident of Galesville Drive in Greenwich passed away peacefully Thursday, July 20, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born April 02, 1933 in Greenwich, NY, to the late Robert and Margaret Steenson.

She enjoyed going to church at the Bottskill Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member, she loved attending church dinners there, especially their chicken and biscuit dinners.  She worked for over 40 years at Lyttle Fuel Oil in Greenwich.  Mary enjoyed gardening, word search puzzles, and country music.  She married the love of her life Gordon Kirk on June 1, 1957 and they were happily married for 49 years.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gordon Kirk; step-daughter Shirley Davenport; sister Shirley

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Florence and Lola Kirk; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and several special friends.

There will be no prior calling hours.

Graveside services will be held at 9 am Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Greenwich Cemetery with the Rev. Sandra Spaulding officiating.
