Obituary of Gary Sherin

Gary Edward Sherin, 57, passed away unexpectedly last week at his home in Clay, NY, a suburb of Syracuse. A 1971 graduate of Greenwich High School, Gary earned a BS degree from Harpur College, SUNY Binghamton in 1975. He worked as a Lab Technician at Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Syracuse, NY for 32 years, retiring in early 2009. He was a loved son, brother and uncle, a good friend, a welcomed neighbor and a skilled landscaper. His wit and infectious laugh would always bring a smile to everyone who knew him. Gary is survived by his mother, Anita H. Sherin, his sister Kathy, his brothers Rick and Tom, a niece Lynn, and his nephews Jeff and Kyle. Also surviving are his beloved cats; Spider, Chestnut and Hemlock. Family and friends may call Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 3 to 5 pm at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, NY.
