Obituary of Burdette T. Buckley

Burdette T. “Buck” Buckley, 101, formerly of Easton, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at The Cambridge in Cambridge, NY, in the company of his loving family.

He was born November 14, 1916 in Easton, NY to the late Irvin and Florence Thompson Buckley.

Buck was an avid bowler and was a member of the Easton Fire Department as well as a former Old Saratoga Senior Citizens Club.  He was a member of the Bottskill Baptist Church in Greenwich.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  Buck was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his grandson Kevin.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wives; Edith B. Lauder Buckley, Catherine Maynard Buckley and Geraldine Titus Buckley; brother Gilbert Buckley and sister Lucille Wolff; one niece and two nephews.

Survivors include his daughter Bette Ann (Tom) Flynn; son Charles (Carol) Buckley; grandchildren Kevin (Jaclyn) Flynn, Brian (Jola) Flynn and Jenna (Matthew) Buckley Piunti; great-grandchildren Riley and Faith Flynn.; one niece and one nephew.

 

A celebration of Buck’s life will be held at 1:30pm Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834 with the Rev. Sandra Spaulding Officiating.

Spring burial at a later date will take place in the Greenwich Cemetery.

Donations in Buck’s name may be made to the Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866.

The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at The Cambridge, for their geat care given to Dad.
