Deborah Miller

–

Greenwich, New York

Deborah (Debbie) Coombs Miller — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend — died on January 22, 2025, due to heart complications.

Born on February 28, 1956, in Glens Falls, New York, she was a lifelong resident of Greenwich, NY, a community that will miss her genuine spirit, her shoulder to cry on, and her raspy laugh.

People were drawn to her everywhere she went, and she always left a lasting impression.

Debbie’s life was a testament to the virtues of hard work. She had many jobs in her life, mostly secretarial, but most recently at Bates Industries in South Glens Falls, NY. No job meant more to her, however, than the one of mother and grandmother. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family — from helping them paint their house to helping raise her granddaughter, Isleigh.

She also loved to work in her home — inside and out. She took great pride in her immaculate lawn and was known as the “queen of clean.”

She loved her friends and family — and had a deep, indescribable bond with her identical twin sister Nisi. She loved her TV “programs,” the weather report, talking on the phone, and Pepsi.

Debbie's deep faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the cornerstone of her life. This was evident in her self-giving nature and the love she extended to her family.

She was the loyal wife of Donald Miller for 44 years, the loving mother to their daughter Naomi (Joshua) LaRose and son Ian Miller, and doting grandmother to her granddaughter Isleigh Miller and grandson Zachary LaRose. She was a treasured sister to Nisi (Shawn) McCormick, Bonnie (Bob) Warren, Rick (Pam) Coombs and Pam Tygert. She also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Phyllis Miller; brothers-in-law, David (Marjorie) Miller and Daniel Miller of Arizona; sister-in-law, Diane (Harold) Smith, of Penn Yan, NY; several nieces and nephews as well as her countless special friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Vivian (Morrison) Coombs, and her granddaughter Eliza Grace LaRose.

As we remember Debbie, we recall the words of Scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your master" (Matthew 25:21).

Debbie’s visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834.
