Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Perkins, a spirited and compassionate soul, was born on August 11, 1951, in Cambridge, NY to the late Donald and Jane (McCann) Perkins. Libby passed away on December 19, 2024. Elizabeth, a charismatic woman who lived her life with fervor and passion, she resided in the heart of Greenwich, New York, where she left an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Elizabeth was a 1970 graduate from Greenwich Central School. She was a dedicated professional who served in the food industry for many years. She was admired by her peers and was a cherished member of the McDonald's team in Greenwich, NY, where she retired from. Elizabeth's dedication was not confined to her professional life; she was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Greenwich. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, her unwavering belief reflected in her everyday actions and interactions. Her love for butterflies was unparalleled, and she enjoyed collecting different collectibles of them. As the Christmas season approached each year, her joy was palpable, and her collection of snowmen grew.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, Donna (Tom) Farron, Eddie (Kristy) Aldrich, and Jennifer (Keith) Wagar; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, George (Patty) Perkins, Donald Perkins Jr., and Mary (Harold) Moss, niece, Kelly Bell and lifelong friends Jo Roe, Patty Messineo and Robbin Perkins Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Edward Perkins, her sister Leneta Bell and sister-in-law, Sueann Perkins.
Elizabeth's love for her family was profound, and their memories of her will forever be cherished.
As we remember Elizabeth, we are reminded of a verse from the Bible, 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith". Elizabeth lived her life embodying these words, fighting the good fight, finishing her race, and always keeping her faith.
Spring burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Greenwich, NY.
