Hollie Willsey

–

Fort Edward, New York

Hollie Willsey, 46, a beacon of positivity and generosity, passed away on August 31, 2026, at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on January 8, 1980, in Saratoga Springs, NY, to the late John Lee Sr. and Marion (Cook) Quackenbush.

She spent her life dedicated to her family, work, and the pursuit of joy. Hollie was a woman of steadfast loyalty and love, whose infectious energy could light up any room she entered.

Hollie was a diehard fan of the Buffalo Bills, a passion she shared with her beloved husband, Rich Willsey. Together, they enjoyed many ups and downs that come with being a Bill's fan. She was a bingo fanatic and casino enthusiast, always ready for a bit of fun and games. Hollie and her family cherished their travels to Niagara Falls, Wildwood, and Hampton Beach. While she loved a good car ride, Hollie was most often found happily napping in the passenger seat.

Hollie worked as a dedicated office assistant at the NYS Department of Transportation and spent several years working for people with disabilities at Living Resources. She derived immense satisfaction from helping those in need, often going out of her way to offer a compliment to anyone who needed it. She always looked for the best in others.

Hollie cherished her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her extended family above all else. Her happiest moments were whenever she was surrounded by family. She was fiercely generous, loving, and had a heart of gold. Even in the face of her health struggles, Hollie remained a radiant beacon of positivity.

She is survived by her devoted husband, together for 17 years, Rich Willsey; her children, Jaxx Willsey, Rylee Ingraham, Vincent Willsey and Rick (Brittany) Willsey; grandchildren, Noah, Henry and Oliver; siblings, John (Linda) Quackenbush Jr. and Dawn (Rodney) Quackenbush; aunts and uncles, Donna (Don) Blair, Robert (Nancy) Saddlemire, and Forrest (Lorraine) Cook; her aunts Ruby Boynton and Pauline Quackenbuch; brothers-in-law, Ray (Tamara) and Robert (Tabby) Willsey; Scott (Cathy) Willsey; her first love, her nephew Christopher "Bub" Abare; several close friends, and many nieces, nephews and cousins; her beloved cat Sampson.

Her vibrant spirit and enduring love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to plant a tree in Hollie's honor.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 pm on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Greenwich Elks Lodge 2223, 130 Bulson Rd, Greenwich, NY, 12834. Her memorial service and a reception for family and friends will follow at 4 pm. Family and friends feel free to bring a dish to share during reception.
