Greenwich, New York
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Louise LeBarron on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at her home, following a long illness. Mary was a vibrant soul born in Gloucester, MA on March 15, 1944, to the late Burt and Margaret (Burton) Morrissey.
Mary, a beacon of love and selflessness, resided in Greenwich, New York, where she left a profound impact on all those blessed to have known her. Her heart was vast, always prioritizing the needs of others above her own. That was Mary, a humble and selfless woman whose life was a testament to the beauty of living for others.
Mary was a person of many passions. An avid reader, her home was a sanctuary of knowledge and wisdom, brimming with books that reflected her insatiable curiosity and love for learning. Her love for people was unmistakable; she was outgoing and radiated positivity, especially around babies. Mary's culinary skills were renowned, having run a bakery from her home on Hill Street for many years. She was an exceptional cook, and her knack for organizing family dinners turned every gathering into a feast to remember. Her food, always hot and punctual, was a testament to her meticulous nature and dedication to her craft.
Mary was a constant pillar of faith, a long-standing member of the United Presbyterian Church in Greenwich. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life and influenced her interactions with everyone she met.
Mary's life may be best described as the embodiment of love and service. Her devotion to her husband of 60 years Roger LeBarron, and her commitment as a caring mother to her children Polly LeBarron, Deb (Hans) Mullen and Amy LeBarron, were her greatest achievements, which she regarded with the utmost pride. She is also survived by her sister, Penney (Lee) Huggins; as well as several grand pets. Mary's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she held dear.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Clayton Morrissey, Marcia Mullen, and Robert Morrissey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the family home in Greenwich.
