Richard D. Martin Jr., 57, a resident of Gates Ave., passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital due to complications with COVID. Born April 27, 1964 in Lawrence, MA he was the son of Helen Godsey Martin of Franklin, NH and the late Richard D. Martin Sr. Richard was a veteran of the US Coast Guard serving from 1986-1990. He was the proud owner of Tint World Albany. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, Boston sports teams, playing guitar, woodworking, dad jokes, and avidly practicing his Catholic faith. He was immensely proud of his family and never missed an opportunity to celebrate his loved ones, especially his children. Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife of 29 years, Julia Eustis Martin of Victory Mills; his children, Jacob, Benjamin and Lydia Martin of Victory Mills; 1 brother, Michael (Michele) Martin of Franklin, NH; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held for Rick and his son Jacob at 10am Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, 18 Pearl St., Schuylerville with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at 11:30 am at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, and 12:30 pm at St. Mary's Cemetery in Schuylerville for Jacob. A reception will be held at the American Legion in Schuylerville following the burials. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-6pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
