Obituary of Helen M. Steg

Helen M. Steg, 78, a resident of Meadowlark Dr., Milton, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Born August 22, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie Goetz Etter. Mrs. Steg worked as a dental hygienist before staying home to be a full time mother to her kids. She was a member of the Schwabisch Singing Society in Brooklyn. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Helen Susan Zepp of Germany, and a sister-in-law, Lorriane Steg. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Nikolaus Steg of Milton; 1 son, Nikolaus (Irene) Steg of Schuylerville; 4 grandchildren, Annkristin Zepp and Niels Zepp of Germany and Nikolaus Steg IV and Erich Matthias Steg of Schuylerville; brother-in-law Rein Steg of TN; and nephews, Robert (Amy) Steg and their children Bradley and Brandon, and David (Ginger) Steg, all of TN. A graveside service will be held at 10am Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville with Pastor Adam Wiegand, officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
