Obituary of Arletta Derby

Arletta Jeannine Derby, 28, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 as the result of a car accident. Born August 26, 1982 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of Ronnie G. Austin of Schuylerville and Arletta Stephenson of Clifton Park. Arletta was a stay at home mom and loved to spend time with her children. She had many friends and family, and was very outgoing and energetic. Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Henry J. Derby of Schuylerville; 2 daughters, Sydney and Chelsey Derby of Schuylerville; 2 brothers, Travis and Torre Austin of Schuylerville; maternal grandfather, David Stephenson of Lake Luzerne; paternal great grandmother, Eunice Austin of Schuylerville; mother and father-in-law, Henry E. and Christina Derby of Victory Mills; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Arletta’s life will be held at 3pm Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Faith Chapel, 6 Burgoyne St., Schuylerville with Pastor Jason Proctor, officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Friends may call on Saturday from 2-4pm at Faith Chapel.
