Obituary of Margaret Jeffords

Margaret Jeffords, 80, a resident of VanNess Ave., died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born July 13, 1930 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Minnie Pickett Green. Margaret was a former employee of the Greenwich Garment Company. She had served as a Board of Elections Inspector, was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, was active with the Greenwich little league, and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Jeffords who died in 1999. Survivors include her daughter, Katherine Jeffords and her son Jeffrey Anderson; son Robert (Joan) Jeffords and their daughters, Regan Jeffords, Logan (Norm Bouchard) Jeffords, and Kendra (Eric) Kelly; and son, William G. (Kim Emerson) Jeffords and daughter-in-law, Sheila Jeffords and their children, William G. and Samantha Jeffords; and sister, Marion (Wes) Murtha; great grandchildren, Brittani and Jeffrey Anderson, Colin Jeffords, Shea Kelly and Carter Jeffords. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Friday, December 17, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Martin Fisher and Rev. Thomas Konopka, officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich. Memorials can be made to St. Joseph’s Restoration Fund or Easton Greenwich Rescue Squad.
