Obituary of Daniel Arnold Sr.

Daniel A. Arnold Sr., 90, of Route 32S, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at his home after a short illness. Born May 27, 1920 in Malta, NY he was the son of the late Arthur and Emma King Arnold. He attended school and lived on the family farm in Malta. He married Pauline Miller on May 24, 1947. He worked for GE in Schenectady for several years. He purchased his own dairy farm and settled on Lohnes Road in Stillwater where he and his wife operated their dairy farm for over 40 years. He later worked at the Saratoga National Park in Stillwater. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 1 sister, Cordia Smith. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Arnold of Schuylerville; his children, Daniel Arnold Jr. of Schuylerville, Paula Hauprich of Trenton, FL, Thomas Arnold, Michael Arnold and Stephen Arnold of Schuylerville; 2 sisters, Dorothy Reinhardt of Nassau and Aleta Reeves of Glens Falls; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Spring burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Schuylerville.
