Obituary of Miriam C. Nessle

Miriam C. (Pfeiffer) Nessle, 78, a resident of Archdale Road, died peacefully at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs on Sunday, February 13, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Winfred Nessle who died January 26, 1987. Born February 27, 1932 in Defreestville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Winfred and Ella Sager Pfeiffer. As a young child, the family moved to Grafton. At the age of 14, they moved to the farm in Easton. She married Winfred Nessle on September 18, 1949. She was known by many far and wide, as “Mom”. She loved helping out at the family meat market and talking to everyone. Survivors include 2 sons, Robert (Elizabeth) Nessle and Richard (Theresa) Nessle; 2 daughters, Kathy (Walt) Coffin and Elaine Nessle; 2 brothers, Winfred John (Jackie) Pfeiffer and Ray (Barb) Pfeiffer; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Nessle, Sara Nessle, Holly (Randy) Winslow, Erin (Jeremy) Perkins, Jason (Erin) Coffin, Jaime Coffin, Amanda (Nate ) LeStage, Adam Coffin; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by 1 sister, Helen Pfeiffer. Friends and family may call from 5-8pm on Tuesday at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, with Rev. Sue Cox, officiating. Spring burial will be in the North Cambridge (Stump) Cemetery. A reception will follow the funeral at the Stump Church in North Cambridge. Memorials can be made in her memory to the North Cambridge (Stump) United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
