Obituary of Frank A. Lockwood

Frank Augustus Lockwood, 69, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Julie Blair Nursing Home in Albany. Born September 13, 1941 in Granville, NY he was the son of the late Frank Augustus and Grace Howard Lockwood Sr. Mr. Lockwood had been employed for 25 years at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs. He loved to work on cars, fish, and tell tall tales. He was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Roy Proctor; 1 brother, Arthur Lockwood and 1 sister, Barbara Ford. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Joyce “Sally” Rogers Lockwood of Victory Mills; his children, Adam Lockwood, Peter Lockwood, April Miller, Timothy Lockwood, Jason Lockwood, Frank Lockwood, Cathy Bacon, Sherrie Lockwood, and Robert Rogers; 5 sisters, Jane Pecor, Theresa Bump, Joyce Church, Kathy Hancock, and Mary Plato; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 4pm Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871. Friends may call on Saturday from 2-4pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
