Obituary of Albina M. DeFabio

Albina M. DeFabio, 91, a resident of Broad St., Schuylerville, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Born August 1, 1919 in Northumberland, NY she was the daughter of the late Zoel and Regina Brown Nadeau. Mrs. DeFabio had worked at Don’s Cleaners and Grand Union in Schuylerville for many years. She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church and was a member of the St. Anne Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of the Pinochle Club. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Dominick DeFabio; 2 brothers, Donald and Leo Nadeau; and 2 sisters, Eva Hopkins and Simone Rabine. Survivors include 4 daughters, Donna Santabar of Portsmouth, VA, Joyce McShane, Jeanne White, and Jacqueline DeFabio of Schuylerville; 1 son, Carmen DeFabio of Port Chester, NY; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Spring burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville. Memorials can be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. The family would like to thank the nurses from Hospice for the wonderful care given to Albina.
