Obituary of Gladys Bengle

Gladys Bengle, 90, a resident of Greenwich and formerly of Easton, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing facility in Argyle. Born November 24, 1919 in the Town of Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen (Duda) Herrington. Gladys enjoyed her home, gardening and her grandchildren and great grandchild. She was a member of the North Cambridge (Stump) Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul Bengle who died in December of 2008; 2 brothers, Ted and Merritt Herrington; and 1 sister, Mildred Kenyon. Survivors include her son, Bruce Bengle of Greenwich; 2 grandsons, Jeffory and David Bengle, 1 granddaughter, Carla Bengle; and 1 great grandson, Aden Bengle. A funeral service will be held at 6pm Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, NY with Rev. Sue Cox and Rev. Virginia Cornell, officiating. Spring interment will be in the North Cambridge (Stump Church) Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-6pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials in her name be made to the North Cambridge Methodist (Stump) Church.
