Obituary of Marcella N. Barrett

Marcella Nacy Barrett, 96, of Cemetery Rd., Schuylerville, died Friday, September 9, 2011 at the home of her daughter Joann Eustis. Born February 7, 1915 in the Town of Saratoga, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Josephine Baker Nacy. Mrs. Barrett was a homemaker and had also been employed at the Glove Shop in Schuylerville and Angel Soft Tissue in Thompson, NY. She served as an Election Inspector for the Town of Saratoga, was a member of the Rosary Society at Visitation Church, the Maranatha Charismatic Prayer Group, the Geneology Group at Schuylerville Public Library, and was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visiation Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, J. Malcolm Barrett; 1 son, Tracy James Barrett; 1 brother, Thomas M. Nacy and sister-in-law Mae Robbins Nacy; and an infant sister, Josephine Nacy. She was the beloved Nana and Matriarch of the following survivors, daughter Joann (James) Eustis; grandchildren, James Patrick (Judith) Eustis, Mary Jude (Michael) Sushynski, John J. (Heidi) Eustis, Michael T. (Denise) Eustis, and Julia Marcella (Richard) Martin; great grandchildren, Brittney Marie Eustis of Orlando, FL, Malcolm Joseph, Collin James, and Joulles Reulet Eustis, Marcella Grace, Lucia Dana and T. Maximus Sushynski, Johah Luke, Rebekah Lauren, Job Michael and Hannah Mary Eustis, Haleigh Ryan Eustis, Jacob William, Benjamin Joseph and Lydia Jude Martin, Andrew Jay (Jennifer) Jennings, and Jamie Rose (Tim) Bodkin; great great grandchildren, Carter Drew Jennings and Cailyn Rose Bodkin; nieces, Beverly (Richard) Hudak, Carol Barrett, and Mary Lou (Allen) Masten; and nephew, Charles T. (Sally) Nacy. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday, September 12, 2011 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-4pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
