Obituary of Thomas F. Violette

Thomas F. “Humphrey” Violette, 54, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 15, 2010 in the Town of Easton. Born October 31, 1955 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Glenn and Mildred Walsh Violette. He was named after his grandfather Thomas Francis Walsh. Humphrey was a graduate of Schuylerville Central School and attended SUNY Canton. He had been employed by Degussa Corp. in Waterford for many years and had a lifelong interest in the family dairy farm in the Town of Easton. He was a member of the Holstein Assoc. of American, the Guernsey Assoc. of America and the American Jersey Assoc. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed the Washington County Fair every year. Survivors include his brothers, Glenn of Easton, James of Cleveland, OH, and John of Easton; his sister, Judith A. Balaty of Colorado Springs, CO; 7 nieces and nephews, Jeannie Duval, Josh, Sarah, Nicholas and Katie Violette, Dani-Lynn and Kylee Balaty; and his caregiver Stacy Siniscarco and her daughter Riley. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday prior to the service from 12-1pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
