Obituary of Kathleen Miller

Kathleen E. Miller, 98, a former resident of Pearl Street Schuylerville, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the Stanton Nursing Home in Queensbury. Born August 27, 1911 in Schuylerville, she was the daughter of Thomas Mullen and Katherine McCarty Mullen. Kathleen had worked at Glens Falls Insurance Co. as a secretary for several years and took great pride in her family and was meticulous about how her home and yard looked. She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Christopher “Bud” Miller who had operated Miller’s Pharmacy in Schuylerville for many years, a daughter, Christa Hughes, a son William Miller, sister Helen Nye and a brother Gerald Mullen. Survivors include 2 sons, Thomas Miller of Schuylerville, and Joseph Miller and his wife Theresa of Saratoga Springs; 1 daughter, Siana Lyons and her husband Tom of Delran, New Jersey; daughters-in-law Linda Miller of Latham and Shirley Miller of Albany; son-in-law, James Hughes of Clifton Park;1 sister, Rose Bolduc of Schuylerville; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, Pearl Street, Schuylerville with the Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery Schuylerville. Friends may call 4-6pm Wednesday at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY. Memorials in Kathleen’s name can be made to General Schuyler Emergency Squad.
