Obituary of Marion B. Morse

Dateline: Saratoga Springs Obit: Marion B. Morse Marion B. Morse, 85, a resident of Prestwick Chase and formerly of Greenwich passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Saratoga Hospital. Born January 6, 1924 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Keys) Barbur. Marion was a graduate of Greenwich Central School Class of 1941 and Plattsburgh State Teachers College in 1945. She had taught in the elementary grades at both Cambridge and Greenwich Central Schools, retiring in 1979. She was a member of NYS Teachers Association, the Washington County Historical Society, and Bottskill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Percy S. Morse who died in 1994. Survivors include her 3 daughters, Peggy Way of Albuquerque, NM; Meribeth Lowe of Augusta, GA, and Tomma (Les) Brownell of Colchester, Vt; 1 brother, Thomas (Gennie) Barbur of Avon, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Antonia) Way, Heather (Barrett) Lowe Killick, Bryan Lowe, Candace (Michael) Brownell Conti, and Marcy Brownell; 2 great grandchildren, Brody Killick and Katelyn Conti; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. At Marion’s request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the Greenwich Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
