Obituary of Elsie Ida Gallup
Elsie Ida Gallup, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Home of the Good Shepherd, Saratoga Springs, NY. Many thanks to the staff of HGS for their kind care.
Born September 26, 1928 in Bacon Hill, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Lant) Cook.
Elsie was a member of the Trinity United Methodist church and former member of the Bacon Hill Reformed Church, she worked for several years at the S&H Green Stamp in Glens Falls. She was a loving mother and wife, she enjoyed making pies, cookies, and many delicious meals. She was accomplished at knitting and crocheting and had a special love for her dog Gracie.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Marshall; daughter Judy (Gallup) Moriarta; son-in-law David Moriarta: sister Mertle (Cook) Pettis; brother Albert (Stoney) Cook, his wife Shirley Cook; brother Joseph Cook.
Survivors include her daughter Cindy (Gallup) Clum and husband Tim Clum; son John Gallup and wife Linda (Denison) Gallup; sister Helen (Cook) Fifield; sister Chick (Cook) Barber and husband Tom Barber; sister-in-law Carolyn Cook; granddaughters, Sarah Clum and Lindsay Clum; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date. Committal will be with her husband Marshall at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville.
