Obituary of Hope E. Ferguson

Hope E. Ferguson, 60 a resident of the Town of Argyle passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 20, 2018 at her residence.

She was born in Newark, NY on September 27, 1957 to the late Clarence and Delores Zimmerman Ferguson.

Hope had an infectious smile; warm eyes and she would light up the room wherever she went.  She was very loving and caring to everyone especially her pets, Neptune, Lucia, Keyera, and Pudding.  She married the love of her life Joe Morgan in 2017 and they shared a life together and loved living in the country. Hope enjoyed writing, reading “especially love stories”, watching CNN and discussing her day with her husband. Hope was an accomplished free-lance writer whose work has appeared in Christianity Today, The Huffington Post and Her Life as well as local and national newspapers.  She covered civil rights, faith and cultural issues. She worked as a Senior Writer at Empire State College.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her aunt Mary Hanson of Argyle and 3 cousins.

She is survived by her loving husband Joe Morgan of Argyle as well as her pets; sister and brother-in-law Claire and Joseph Garcia of Colorado; sister Eve Ferguson; nephews Mateo Garcia of Honolulu, Jose Garcia of Orlando; niece Dolores Garcia-Prignitz and her husband Dan; great nieces Suni and Gussie.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date at the Funeral Home.
