Obituary of Edward Brady Waite

Edward “Brady” Waite, 39, a lifelong resident of Greenwich and pillar in the community, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born August 13, 1979 in Cambridge, NY he was the son of Edward C. and Cynthia Myers Waite of Greenwich.  He loved family gatherings and was very close with his family and coworkers.

Brady enjoyed photography, reading, and writing.  He had a black belt in Karate and was a huge sci-fi movie buff. He had a great sense of humor, was loving, creative, kind and had a great smile.  He loved his students at Greenwich Central School where he had taught since 2003 and had also been the assistant coach for the girls’ soccer team.  He worked for the Greenwich Youth Commission for many years and had been a lifeguard at the Greenwich Beach.  He fixed many computers for local people in Greenwich and was always giving back to his community, such as delivering meals at Thanksgiving time.

In is spare time, he was trying to train his dog Merry but not much progress was made.

He married the love of his life, Keegan Perry Waite August 29, 2015.  They spent 10 great years together.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Alfred and Ruth McGrouty Waite; maternal grandparents William and Hazel Myers; uncles William, Robert and Brian Myers; aunt Elaine Myers Lindahl; cousin, Jacob Pett, and many others.

In addition to his parents and his wife Keegan, he is survived by his sister Noelle (Brian) Nilsen, who thought he was the most wonderful brother ever; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins, too numerous to mention all their names.
