Obituary of William G. Whitney

William G. Whitney, 91, a longtime resident of Hill St. in Greenwich, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born June 28, 1927 in Cambridge, NY he was the son of the late William J. and Helen Thompson Whitney.

Mr. Whitney was a graduate of Greenwich Central School and was a veteran of WWII.  He worked in NYC for many years as an Assistant Accounting Supervisor for National Distillers and Chemical Co.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich and had been a resident at Washington Center in Argyle for several years.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
