Obituary of Claudia Nevins
Born March 11, 1935 in Victory Mills, NY she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dola Barton Hall.
Claudia was a graduate of Schuylerville Central School Class of 1952 where she enjoyed sports and cheerleading. She worked at Sherjoy Wallpaper before taking time off to raise her 6 children. She was employed at Thomas’ Egg Farm and then retired from Schuylerville Central School where she did attendance. She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church and the St. Anne Rosary Society at church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their sports activities. She had been involved with little league as a coach and running the concession for many years. She always looked forward to time at camp in the Adirondacks during the summer and visits to the ocean with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 1 son, William J. Nevins Jr.; her sisters, Joy (Jack) McCarty and Charlene (John) Toohey; and sister-in-law, Eileen Burdick.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William J. Nevins Sr.; her children, Linda (Paul) Flood, Kevin (Karen) Nevins, Keith (Barbara) Nevins, Ken (Jamie) Nevins, and Brenda (Ira) Adler; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Callender, Kelly (Mark) Guiliano, Stephen (Brandy) Flood, Michael (Amanda Dow) Dumas, Daina (Chuck) Adcock, Keira (Steve) Hare, Kelsy (John) Konifca, Kayla Nevins, Jessica Nevins, Katherine Nevins (Jake Neilsen), Elizabeth (Joe) Bogovich, Andrew Nevins, William Nevins, Madeline Nevins, Layah Adler and Samuel Adler; great grandchildren, Lilly Ruby, Samantha, Joseph, Alexander, Eleanor, Kallie and Joseph; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871.
