Obituary of Virginia E. Durie

Virginia E. Durie 95, a resident of county rd. 70 passed away peacefully Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her residence with her son by her side.

She was born October, 22, 1923 in Middleburgh, NY to the late Leonard and Ina Wood.

Virginia retired from Glens Falls Hospital where she worked for 21 years.  She was a proud mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert G. Durie; brother Orville Wood; grandson Dana Jensen.

She is survived by her 4 sons, Stanley Durie, Robert (Diane) Durie Jr., Edwin (Maureen) Durie and Alan (Alice) Durie; 2 daughters Jean (Ron) Zimmerman and Carolyn (Scott) Miller; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers Thomas (Jeanne) and David (Donna) Wood; sister Janet Tinker.

Friends may call from 6-8 pm Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday, October 26, 2018 at the funeral home.   Burial in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville will immediately follow the services.
