Obituary of Jacqueline Mae Pfeiffer

Jacqueline “Jackie” Perkins Pfeiffer, 89 of Easton passed in to the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 26, 1929, Jackie was the 10th of 12 children to Harry L. and Maude Robinson Perkins.  She was raised at the family home on Gray Avenue in Greenwich and attended Greenwich Central School.

She met her husband of 64 years, Winfred John Pfeiffer Jr. on a blind date.  She loved sharing stories of their dates to the Durkeetown barn dances.  Jackie loved parties and could be found on the dance floor at every family celebration.

Some of her fondest memories were of her years spent waitressing at the Central Lunch and the Downtown Diner in Greenwich.

Jackie attended the North Cambridge Methodist “Stump Church”.  She served in several organizations including co-leader of Brownie Troop 36, Washington County Dairy Princess Committee, B.P.O.E Ladies Auxiliary and member of the Cambridge Bowling League.  Her voice could be heard across the Washington County Fair public announcement system as she announced events and summoned parents of a lost child, which she happily entertained until they were reunited.

Her greatest joy was her family.  She is survived by her six children, John (Ruth) Pfeiffer of Rochester, George Pfeiffer of Easton, Chris (Thomas) Lauzon of Cambridge, Bonnie Pfeiffer of Raymertown, Linda (James) Green of Trenton, GA, Carol (Steven) Besanceney of Corinth and long-time family friend, Diane Pfeiffer of Salem.  Jackie adored her 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her 11 brothers and sisters, Harry Perkins, Mary Perkins Mosher, Charles Perkins, Robert Perkins, Donald Perkins, Evelyn Perkins Weils, Burton Perkins, George K. Perkins, Ralph Perkins, Gerald Roger Perkins, and Richard Perkins.

The family will receive family and friends from 4-7pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the funeral home with the Rev. Virginia Cornell officiating.  Burial will follow at the North Cambridge Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions in Jackie’s memory be made to The Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866.
