Obituary of William White

William I. White, 85, a resident of Victory Mills, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

 

Born February 11, 1933 in Clarks Mills, NY he was the son of the late Edgar W. and Coral Monroe White.

 

William was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War.  He worked as a foreman for DOT in Schuylerville and was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church.

 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 1 son, William White; 1 brother, Edgar V. White; and1 sister, Joyce White.

 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Agatha White of Victory Mills; 4 sons, Robert (Judith) White, Michael E. White, Patrick D. (Jill) White, and Joseph J. (Abner) White; 1 daughter, Debra (William) Brown; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

 

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating.  Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  A reception for family and friends will be held following mass at the David Nevins Community Center in Victory Mills

 

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville. 

 

Memorials can be made in his memory to the David Nevins Fire Department First Responders or to St. Jude Research Hospital.
