Obituary of Ann McCormick

Ann McCormick, 83, a longtime resident of Monument Drive, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Hoosick Falls Health Center.

 

Born July 7, 1935 in Hoosick Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna Williams Burns.

 

Ann was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls.  She worked in payroll at Nancy Shoe Company in Hoosick Falls and Golden Fleece in Greenwich, and sold real estate for a short time.  She was a devoted housewife, sister and aunt.  She enjoyed visiting her family at Willow Brook in Hoosick Falls, and spending time with her dogs.  She and her husband John loved going to the racetracks in Saratoga Springs.  She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville.

 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John McCormick in 2003; 1 sister, Kathryn Lanoue and 1 brother, Robert Burns.

 

Survivors include 1 sister, Joanie James of Hoosick Falls; 2 nephews, Phil (Deanne)Lanoue III of Melrose and Vincent (Colleen) James of Hoosick Falls; several great nieces and nephews.

 

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 noon Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating.  Spring burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

 

Friends may call on Thursday from 10 am to11:30 am at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871.

 

The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Hoosick Falls Health Center for the loving care given to Ann over the years.

 

 

Memorials can be made in her memory to Notre Dame-Visitation Church, 18 Pearl St., Schuylerville, NY 12871 or a local animal shelter.
