Obituary of Mary Lou Blackmer

Mary Lou Blackmer, 77, a lifelong resident of Greenwich passed on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 8:15am, after a long illness at Washington Center surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born October 9, 1941 in Greenwich, NY, to the late Charles and Mary Jeffords Waters.

Mary met the love of her life Richard Blackmer while square dancing at the Grange, they were married in 1962. Together they traveled across the country and world while he was in the service.  She enjoyed word search books, crocheting and anything that involved making crafts.  She loved her daughter and grandchildren dearly.  Mary will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband Richard Blackmer of Greenwich; daughter April (Alan) Desnoyers of Greenwich; grandchildren, Steven (Candace) Desnoyers of FL, Timothy (Sarah) Adamson of Schuylerville and Christopher (Hatraita) Desnoyers of CA; brother Charles H. Waters Jr. of TX; sister Marilyn Blackburn.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
