Obituary of Rose A. Blair

Rose A. Blair, 94, a former resident of Clarks Mills and most recently of Fort Ann, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 6, 1924 in Greenwich, NY she was the daughter of the late Harriet and George Lamphear.

Rose was a longtime member of Faith Chapel Church in Schuylerville and a former member of the Wilton Senior Citizens.  She was a homemaker and a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed bird watching, sewing, crafts, playing cards and celebrating holidays with her family, especially Christmas.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Blair and her godson, Gregory Paul Rose.

Survivors include her children, Fay Ellis of Ballston Spa and Dr. Russell (Leanne) Blair of Fort Ann; 3 grandsons, Anthony (Brittany) Blair of Fort Ann, Chad (Jessica) Ellis of Broadalbin, and Zachary (Katie) Blair of Ravena; 4 great granddaughters, Hadley Rose, Amelia Rose, Makenna Ashley, and Juliet Elizabeth; 1 great grandson, Oliver Tobias; 1 sister, Marie Bardon of Kingsbury; several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7pm Friday, March 15, 2019 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.  Spring burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.

Friends may call on Friday from 4-7pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
