Ollie and Family, and Ellen--I just found out about Donny and there truly is a whole in my heart. We moved to Robert Drive when I was nine and I literally grew up with our next door neighbors, the Sweets. I grew to love all four of them and considered them "family". We had our "Robert Drive group of teenagers", too--Donny, the Regans, the Kiernans, Bobby Russell, Linda Houck and me. We sure had some really great times. Those truly were "the good old days". And Ellen, you were a great friend, you had a wonderful brother, and I am deeply sorry for your loss, too. Ollie, I am so sorry your beautiful long marriage had to end so soon. Thank God he left you with such a large family and he left in such a peaceful way and did not have to suffer here on earth. Although my husband didn't know you and Don as much as I did, he wants to express his condolences, also, and he knew Don to be a "really nice guy." Barbara (Davis) and Tim Boardman

Ollie and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Don’s smile and laugh let everyone see him as he truly was. He was ‘the guy’ who knew how to do pretty much anything he set his mind to. He was the go-to neighbor and friend when you needed a certain tool or help getting towed out of an icy driveway. He touched many lives. We will miss him. John & Barb Salisbury

Dear Ollie, it's hard to express the sympathy I feel for your loss. It's been such a long time since we got together and so much has happened. I remember Don as always smiling...as in the beautiful picture you chose here! My Wrenn passed away thirteen years ago so I know your pain and if there's anything I can do, or if you just want an ear to listen, I hope you will give me a call or text. These are hard times when we can't be together to share. But I am here. 518-209-8438. Much love. Joan Sherwood

Beloved friend for half a century of myself, my wife, Penny, and the kids. A Prince of a man remembered by how his eyes would light up a room when teasing his brother-in-law, Nick, and whose laugh on these occasions could be heard in Cindy Lee Court.
God bless you old friend, and Rest In Peace. Love and condolences to Ollie, the boys and their families.

Ollie,
I was so sorry to read about Don. I know we haven't stayed in touch over the years, but my memories of us all growing up on Roberts Drive are some of my most cherished. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Ollie-My condolence on Don’s passing. Judging by his photo and obit he retained his smile and laughter (giggle?) all these years since Colonie 1961. You must have had a wonderful life, they say good kids grow into good men. Fond memories.

Aunt Ollie, Chris, Greg, Jason(and family),
The memories of our loved ones keep them present, until we see them again. Uncle Don touched so many people with his kind heart, and selfless way. One of the finest men I was blessed to call my uncle. He left us all with so many special memories, he will forever be apart of my life through childhood until now. So thankful that my own children were able to spend time up at the lake, and could take away their own special memories of him. Something we will cherish forever. I love each of you, and my heart is broken for your loss, I can only imagine him sharing a hearty laugh with my girl, this helps to bring me such comfort. May you rest well Uncle, I know how deeply you were loved, and how greatly you will be missed!
Forever in our hearts,
Denise Rossetti

Ollie, Chris, Greg, and Jason,
My deepest sympathies to you all with the loss of your husband and dad. Donnie always had a great sense of humor and an unforgettable laugh. I remember having parties at the end of Emerson Drive with your family and the Iacobuccis. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Love,
