Obituary of Clair M. Robertson

Clair M. Boivin Robertson, 57, of Oswegatchie, NY, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at her sister’s home in Fort Edward with her loving family by her side. Born December 6, 1962 in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late Eugene D. and Gloria A. Thivierge Boivin. Clair was a graduate of Schuylerville Central School in 1981. She married her loving husband, Mark Robertson on September 18, 1982. She worked for Sherwood Medical in Argyle as a finishing operator for 17 years then went on to work for Praxis Powder Technologies in Queensbury, retiring early to enjoy life in the Adirondacks. Clair was known for her fun-loving personality. She enjoyed cooking, wood burning crafts, and sewing. She loved living in the Adirondacks in “her little cabin in the woods.” Her most cherished gifts in life were her children, grandchildren, family and life-long friend, Karen Minick. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Cynthia Wood and Cathy Skiba; brothers-in-law, Joseph Skiba and Brian Gillis. In addition to her husband Mark of Oswegatchie, survivors include her son, Markie Robertson II of Greenwich; her daughter, Melissa Robertson (Larry) of Greenwich; sister, Claudia Foster of Victory Mills, brother, Kevin (Kathy) Boivin of Livonia, sisters Cheryl (George) Grooznack of Quaker Springs and Carol Gillis of Fort Edward; brothers, Mark Boivin of Fort Edward and Martin Boivin of Quaker Springs, and sister, Carla (Jeffry) Swederski of Stillwater; grandchildren, Emmalyn, Owen, Larry Jr. (Tippy) and Kayden of Greenwich; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Honoring Clair’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private burial for the family will be held at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
