Obituary of Catherine M. Martindale

Catherine M. (Nolan) Martindale, 84, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2020 at Saratoga Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on February 13, 1936 in Greenwich, NY, to the late Samuel and Evelyn (Dumas) Nolan. Catherine was a social butterfly, everyone she met instantly became a friend. She would listen and sing along to country music morning till night. She was a member of the VFW Post#7291 and she enjoyed many nights there honky tonking it up! She was always ready to go, all she needed was her coat and she was out the door. Catherine was an old soul who always went with the flow, with a smile on her face. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband William Martindale, siblings, William, Sam, Charlie, Frances, Gary, Hazel, Rose, and Evelyn. Survivors include her loving children; Billy (Sherry) Martindale, Kathy (Gary) Langlois, Roger Loveland, Maryann Allen, and her companion Chris; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister Mary Skellie; brother George Nolan. A private memorial mass will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Church, Bleeker St, Greenwich, NY, 12834. Family and friends are invited to her graveside services at 12pm on Friday, August 28, 2020 in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Greenwich, NY. All are invited to the VFW Post #7291 for a reception following her interment. Due to COVID-19 restrictions masks and social distancing will be required at the cemetery.
