Wendy, Tink loved you very much and made it clear you were his security when times got rough. He made a deep impression in my heart in the short time I knew him. He was always so grateful no matter the situation. And yes, that quilt he was very proud of. He told me he made it for you. And it was the biggest smile I saw from him. My brothers and I are close that way. My oldest called me crying because a graphite cross I bought him years ago broke. We lost our home in Katrina and it’s what he had left. I immediately ordered him a new one and had it sent to him. Cherish every little memory you have. -All my love and best wishes Theresa Pierson (PS he will have a tree planted in his honor, I thought that he’d like that)

Dan aka “Dad” , I’m gonna miss you more than you could ever imagine. I will continue singing for you as I did on my CDs while you were adult coloring or canning. I’m gonna miss our everyday conversations we would have, and miss when you would call me daughter. You always made me feel loved no matter what the circumstance. Thank you for always being there for me when I needed advice or hooking me up with a singing gig and staying to hear me sing no matter where we were. Mike says he’s gonna miss yalls laughs you had at the bowling alley while watching me and mom bowl, definitely gonna miss the fishing for sure!! I Love you Dad and will never ever forget you!!! Fly high and R.I.P
Love,
Your daughter Sharon Marie

I have to say, as we recently talked about it, one of my favorite memories with Uncle Tink, was my Brother Scott, after having a few drinks at my Parents 25th Anniversary Party, standing next to Uncle Tink, looking him straight in the eye, telling him " you are the wind beneath my wings".... Uncle Tink made no big deal out of it, he just took it all in, and then drove Scott home, Scott sitting next to him on the bench seat of his truck with his arm around him, and Uncle Tink had no qualms about letting him. I remember Mom and Uncle Tink and Aunt Wendy sitting by many a family fire, singing " Down By The Old Mill Stream"... there are so many.... and more than any, as , for my whole life, it was frequent that Uncle Tink stopped up to the house ( when I lived at home) , I will never forget him saying to Dad " hey Fella".... just as I heard him say Christmas Eve... we are going to miss you Uncle Tink, and we love you so much.
